Who We Are
TLG Aerospace, LLC (TLG) is an aerospace engineering services company dedicated to providing our customers with reliable, efficient design, analysis and certification for new and modified aircraft and related aerospace products. TLG specializes in full vehicle analysis and optimization including static and dynamic loads, flutter, stability and control, aerodynamic design, Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) analysis, FAA certification and aircraft performance and handling qualities. Our engineers have experience with over 100 aircraft models from more than 40 different manufacturers. Learn More >
Aircraft Loads and Flutter
TLG, also known as "The Loads Group", has the skills, experience and tools to generate loads appropriate for all stages of aircraft development, from quick preliminary design loads to final certification loads. TLG has an in-house Loads DER, Steve Muenzberg. Learn More >
All aircraft must be shown to be free from flutter for flight safety and per civil and military airworthiness requirements. TLG can perform the required certification flutter analyses for all required aircraft configurations and conditions. We can also plan and participate in the required ground and flight testing and subsequent analysis. Learn More >
Aerodynamic Design and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD)
Aerodynamic design touches all aspects of an aircraft Outer Mold Line (OML), from airfoil optimization to engine inlets to flight control surface sizing. TLG has extensive experience in aerodynamic design and optimization on projects ranging from clean sheet design to stability and control enhancements on existing aircraft. Learn More >
Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) refers to the process of calculating how a fluid, usually air, flows around an object. TLG has the tools and experience to provide CFD analysis ranging from quick and simple lifting line to full Navier Stokes volume flow with heat transfer and reacting gas chemistry. Learn More >
FAA Certification
All new aircraft and modifications to existing aircraft require certification approval from the FAA or appropriate local Airworthiness Authorities (e.g. EASA). A new aircraft obtains a Type Certificate (TC). A modification to an existing aircraft obtains an Amended Type Certificate (ATC) or a Supplemental Type Certificate (STC). TLG has extensive certification experience for all of these types with the FAA and European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), including in-house Designated Engineering Representatives (DERs). Aircraft Performance and Handling Qualities
Accurately predicting aircraft performance and handling qualities is critical to the success of any new, or modified aircraft program. TLG has extensive experience in both areas including a full mission aircraft performance program, and an in-house flight analyst (handling qualities) DER, Robert Lind. Learn More >
