DESIGN APPROACH
TLG utilizes industry standard CATIA V5 as our core modeling and design tool. Our designer’s extensive experience using CATIA’s advanced surfacing features enables TLG to produce lofted surfaces that comply with the aerodynamic criteria. Lofted surfaces can be generated in ‘jig’ shape for structural design development or in twisted & deflected form for CFD/Aeroelastic purposes. From these “clean” surfaces the design team can mature the product concept to the level of detail desired by the customer. Structural development can include weight estimates and panelized mass tables.TLG can release production level datasets using Model Based Definition (MBD) incorporating Functional Tolerancing & Annotation (FT&A) using CATIA and/or traditional 2D drawings of details, assemblies and installations. Datasets will include Bills of Material (BOM) using industry standards (MIL, AMS, etc) or customer standards as required. Datasets comply with industry (ASME, ANSI, etc) or customer standards as required.
