Save the Date: Aircraft Structural External Loads Course September 8–12, 2025 | San Diego, CA

Did you know that one of TLG’s engineering leaders also teaches a nationally respected course on aircraft structural external loads?

Dr. Josh Sementi, engineering manager at TLG and FAA Loads DER with full authority on 14 CFR Parts 23 and 25, brings an unmatched real-world perspective. With a doctorate in aerospace engineering from the University of Washington (UW), Josh has shaped load analysis on Boeing 737, 757, 767, and Falcon 2000 aircraft. His career spans technical leadership at Aviation Partners Boeing and academic instruction at Seattle University, UW, and the University of Kansas (KU).

This high-level course, hosted by KU, draws regulators, flight test engineers, and aerodynamicists to explore external loads—from criteria and certification to testing and fatigue. Josh shares not only the “how,” but the “why” behind the analysis, empowering participants to ask the right questions and make smart design decisions.

San Diego is the next stop for this traveling course. Join us September 8–12, 2025, and gain insights from a leader who’s been both in the field and at the podium.
